About RiceXtra Tool

Rice is among the most consumed food in the world. It is infected by many pathogens, including bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Xanthomonas causes two different types of diseases in rice, bacterial leaf blight caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo) and bacterial leaf streak caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc). Treatment of rice tissue with Xanthomonas leads to transcriptional reprogramming. This database provides the change in the relative expression of thegenes when a rice plant encounters Xanthomonas in various experiments performed in different laboratories. This database also provides details of the fraction of times a gene is upregulated (inference, U/C) indicating if the gene expression is generally up or down after Xanthomonas treatment.

We utilized the data available online on Gene Expression Omnibus (NCBI-GEO). We analyzed the data and genes that are significantly altered (p<0.05) more than ± 1.50-fold after Xanthomonas treatment with respect to mock treatment are represented in this database.

Please insert the MSU ID (with splice variant Eg. - LOC_Os00g00000.1) of the gene of interest and it will provide the relative fold change observed in different experiments.
